Nyuchi WordPress Optimization

Fills empty SEO fields and keeps the database and media library in order.

A WordPress plugin for sites that have outgrown the time available to look after them by hand. It writes the Yoast SEO title, meta description and focus keyword only where they have been left empty, reads content from page builders so those descriptions mean something, and finds and cleans up what has gone wrong in the database and the media library.

Version 1.10.0, released 26 October 2026. Licence: GPL v2 or later.

What it does

Features

  • Fills empty SEO fields only

Writes the Yoast SEO title, meta description and focus keyword where they are blank, and leaves anything a person has written alone.

  • Reads page-builder content

Extracts text from Elementor and Beaver Builder layouts, Gutenberg blocks and Advanced Custom Fields, each behind its own switch.

  • Title templates per post type

Placeholders for post title, site name and year. On WP Travel sites, trip templates also take duration, price, destination and primary activity, and empty placeholders do not leave a stray divider.

  • Database clean-up

Reports what orphaned meta, old revisions, expired transients and leftovers from removed plugins are costing, then cleans them up. Orphaned tables can be dropped.

  • Database editor

Reads, finds and writes individual values without a database client.

  • Media repair

Reconciles attachments whose file and record disagree, converts mismatched files back to a format WordPress can use, and restores image sizing on Cloudflare Images after offloading.

  • Site health as numbers

Autoload size, the cron queue and growth over time.

  • REST and Abilities API

Everything is reachable without wp-admin under auto-seo/v1, and through the WordPress Abilities API so an AI tool can drive it. Every route needs manage_options.

  • Logging that cleans up after itself

Four log levels, a retention window and a row cap, pruned daily in small batches.

Before you install: The repository and plugin folder are still called auto-seo-manager, and the settings screen is at Settings → Auto SEO Manager. It is the same plugin, and the one listed as SEO Manager under Nyuchi Tools. It writes into Yoast SEO's own fields rather than replacing Yoast, and is not connected to, endorsed by or affiliated with Team Yoast.

  1. Install and activate Yoast SEO first if you want the SEO modules. The database and media modules work without it.
  2. Download auto-seo-manager.zip from the GitHub release.
  3. In wp-admin, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload the zip and activate it.
  4. Configure it at Settings → Auto SEO Manager.

Good to know

Known limitations

  • Beta. Not distributed through wordpress.org.
  • Sites on 1.9.0 or earlier need one manual update from wp-admin. From 1.10.0 on, new releases arrive as an ordinary update notice and update in the background.
  • Leave verbose logging on only for short debugging sessions: it writes on every request.

Changelog

Recent releases

1.10.0

  • Automatic updates now work: new releases reach the site's background update check, not only the wp-admin screen.
  • The plugin prints no head tags when Yoast SEO, Rank Math, All in One SEO or SEOPress is active, and never prints a robots tag.
  • Title and description templates resolve %%variables%% before they are printed.
  • An optional fallback meta output stays off until you switch it on.

1.9.0

  • Two abilities for Yoast SEO's site-wide settings: one reads the wpseo, wpseo_titles and wpseo_social option groups, one changes keys in one of them.
  • Updates are a dry run unless dry_run is sent as false, and secret-looking keys are always refused.
